I have a friend around these parts - quite possibly more than the one I am aware of - who seems to be having a grand ol' time posting about his mini-fig painting and terrain creating. Well, I also have stuff I do that I like parading in front of my intarweb friends, and now my soapbox got a little bit bigger. Let's hope I don't step off the edge, fall on my ass, and make a fool of myself.
So, what do I do? A few things, actually. I sing with a local Richmond, VA band called Moossa. We do not have fame, nor fortune, but we have a damn good time making music together. Here's a video from one of our gigs:
and here's something Ryan and I put together for the first track from our newest album, "Bright Lights & Faded Signs" called "Fall":
So, there's that stuff. I'm not using this space to promote my band. Not too much, anyway. If you want to check out more of our music, go to our website or check us out on SoundCloud.
I also have recently discovered a love for the visual arts. I took some classes at my local CC and I'm currently waiting to hear back from the local 4-year about my acceptance to their art program. I don't want to be too specific here, because I can be superstitious sometimes. But, you're dying to see my artwork, aren'tcha?
There will be more of those. That's what this whole thing is about.
No. Not showing off what I can do to the world in the hope that I get some kind of intarwebbian pat on the back. No, I am one of those people that has trouble recognizing the good things they have to offer to the world. We get bogged down in how much we've fucked up in the past, or the times we were too afraid, or too convinced that we just aren't worth the effort.
This place is where I will work out some of my shit, so if you can't or don't want to hang - it's all good. No worries.
But - this will also be a place where I will show you pretty pictures and nice music and such. AND, pictures of some of the characters I play with my regular tabletop RPG crew, like, Brawlerina and The Nanite!
This is Nan Nelson AKA The Nanite. She is super-level genius, can shrink down to atomic size and has a bio-electric blast. She also groks some gnarly tuneage that she just ripped from her vinyl collection.
This is Bralwerina, no AKA. She is a classically trained ballerina who can KICK YER ASS! Her attack names are inspired by Pimp: The Backhanding, (now on sale!) like the "Who's Yer Daddy" attack. She usually pairs with Professor Awesomestud and the other Centurion characters that regularly appear in Amazing! Comics.
